Stay… You are still here, but you are already gone. Or you walked away keeping in your heart the place you left behind.

Life leads you towards unexpected paths and sometimes, easily, you get carried away by inertia. You do have the strength to swim against the tide, but sadly you lack the courage.

Around you, people with their minds somewhere else; but somewhere else, despite the distance, others are – and will always be – there for you.

Family, a relation, a job…or simply a place that does not suit you. Sometimes, when an hurdle stops you from moving forward, leaving is your only option to start over.

So, if the wind of change blows on you, if you want to grow, just go.
Or, run away, enraged, when there is no compassion around you.
People have no time to relieve your suffering, life goes on and the moment you just lived is already gone.

Decisions will be influenced by this chaos. And your lack of certainty will let the emotions take over.

You made a promise to yourself: you will only settle with a place where you can be truly accepted and understood for who you really are. And this inner confidence will be there when times come to face the choice: “Should I stay or should I go?”.
Because you have a question, and the answer to it is the consequence of what you are living.

Unfortunately, I realized not long ago that leaving without having found your own truth, will not make you move forward, but only briefly forget about it. If what really matters is not sorted, the place where we are is irrelevant. Inevitably, we will fall into the same trap.

By staying, instead, we sometimes face the real problem, which is likely closer than what we thought, and we might very well overcome the inability to adapt to our own peers.

Will you find, by yourself, a way to stop this running around in search of a better world?
Does this world you think you deserve to live in really exist? This idyllic place?
Are you sure of what is best for yourself?
Or are all just illusions?
An escape from the problems that afflict you.
Is your dissatisfaction real?
Do you live in a fairy tale because you can’t face the reality or you choose not to face it?

I have so many questions to ask you, to ask myself, but – right now – only one answer.
After all, no rules or laws exist to help you deciding if to stay or to go.

In both cases, I wish you the best.
I hope you will find, anywhere you are, glimmers of happiness and you will break through the darkness of you mind.

And remember: Stay or go.

Because who really counts will always be there for you.
