I am writing today to ask for your help. As many of you may have heard, one of our dancers, Joe Bunn, was diagnosed with leukemia last December. After a year of chemo it has become clear that he needs a bone marrow transplant.

Joe has a rare tissue type and so far there has been no match found for him. We are trying to spread the word in order to find him a donor. The most likely candidate would be an African American male, but any of us could, in fact, be a match.

It is very easy to be tested. In Germany we can register online and mail in a cheek swab; this costs ten minutes and a postage stamp. As every country compiles their own database, one must register where one lives (though of course these organizations share their information when searching for a match). I hope you will find the appropriate link for your country below.

PLEASE share this with anyone and everyone you think might be willing to help.

Many thanks, and wishing you a blessed 2016!

-Bridget Breiner
